ARTISTS
Fatboy Slim, Norman Cook called in reality, has
since the early 90's making mischief behind synthesizers and drum
machines. Fatboy Slim has a long history behind it, began adopting many
aliases and styles: Pizzaman, Mighty Dub Cat, Freak Power, among
others, and each can be easily associated to a particular musical style
and a period of his life. Now comes to Estrella Levante SOS 4.8 one of
the biggest names in the electronic scene. www.myspace.com/fatboyslim
Alondra Bentley, with English surname and born
in Lancaster in 1983 lives in Murcia since age four. She sings in
English (the language in wich she are comfortable). His debut “Ashfield
Avenue " is a work that stands as a paragon of sensitivity, candor,
feelings, and moving between bittersweet textures and impressive
references. www.myspace.com/alondrabentley
ANNI B SWEET - LIVE IN THE AUDITORIUM / LIMITED CAPACITY

Joe Crepúsculo, undoubtedly the revelation of
the year, is the name of a tecnopop project with letters in Castilian.
Behind the group is keyboardist of Barcelona group Tarantula, who is
also part of Junco & Diamante with David Rodriguez from www.musicoscopio.com. Currently presenting his latest album: "Chill Out" which has gained all imaginable awards in Spain. www.myspace.com/joecrepusculo
Lidia Damunt is a big one. When I say she’s one
of the greatest I do not mean a major national, but a major, nothing
more. Perhaps even cost us get used to the idea that a composer of La
Manga del Mar Menor is able to artistically hobnob with some names on
the international scene supposedly unattainable, but the vertigo
produced by approach their songs leaves no room for doubt. www.myspace.com/lidiadamunt
Delorean is a band from Zarautz (Basque Country)
born in March 2000 from the union of Toma, Ekhi, Unai and Igor. The
initial intentions are to form a pop band, and after giving the first
concerts, the cult to synthesizers makes the band begins to gradually
stylistically change. In 2006, the band confirms its absolute immersion
in dance music with "Into the plateau", an album conceived entirely as
a dance suite. www.delorean.com Love Of Lesbian is a group of Spanish indie
pop-rock band based in Barcelona, active since 1996. After three albums
in English, decided to sing in Castilian, a language in which they have
released their last three albums. "1999" is the sixth album by the
band, which in its first week on sale entered at number 33 on the
official sales lists in Spain. www.myspace.com/loveoflesbian
Franz Ferdinand is an indie rock band formed in
Glasgow (Scotland) in 2001, named after the Archduke Franz Ferdinand of
Austria. The band consists of Alex Kapranos as lead vocals, lead guitar
and keyboards, Bob Hardy on bass, Nick McCarthy on rhythm guitar,
keyboards and vocals, and Paul Thomson on drums, percussion and vocals.
With
the second single of his career "Take Me Out" published in 2004,
reached number three in the charts in the UK to almost immediately
become a global phenomenon with sales of over five million copies of
his album debut. The second album from the band "You Could Have It So
Much Better" was the confirmation of the band, achieving the milestone
of selling over 100,000 copies in the United Kingdom during the first
week of being sold.
On January 26, 2009 was released the album
"Tonight: Franz Ferdinand". This album and the live overwhelming that
accompanies it, has meant that Franz Ferdinand is now one of the most
important bands on the international scene. The Scots, having closed
the most important festivals around the planet and ensure a sold out
each of their concerts are every day adding fans to the tide that seems
to be limitless.
Nada Surf formed in 1992 is living a second
youth, thanks to its power-pop and pop-rock alternative, to
well-constructed tunes, easy slogans to remember and an energy and
emotion only comparable to bands like Cheap Trick, Teenage Fanclub,
Weezer, Pavement, Foo Fighters, Posies, and Pixies. With five albums on
the market, with the last "Lucky", released in 2008, have recovered the
notoriety achieved in its early years, after a gray period after legal
disputes with their label Eureka. After the superhit "Popular" that
became a global success, they will be in Murcia to show that his best
moment is this. www.nadasurf.com
We are Standard - One of the most international bands of the
country scene, a group that had (and used) a golden opportunity, and
whose live show has been through festivals like South by Southwest in
the U.S. (concert highlighted by the newspaper of the festival and sold
out), Popkomm in Germany, more dates in Holland, Belgium and France,
which has infected mostly those who have seen them from necessity of
dancing. www.wearestandard.net
With influences that include Edward Gorey,
Screaming Lord Sutch, Joe Meek, and the Cramps to name just a few
examples, The Horrors have created a punk-rock sound, Gothic and
affected nearly as grimy as catchy. The quintet of long hair and black
clothes - made up of Faris Badwan, Tomethy Furse, Joshua Von Grimm,
Coffin Joe and Spider Webb - was founded in the summer of 2005 and
quickly gained favor with the public thanks to his native London
concerts that have been frenzied and in the imagination of the city.
They are currently presenting the album that has elevated them to the
international level: "Primary Colors" album which they are presenting
around the world and wich have take him to be the support band to Muse.
The Horrors have become one of the reference bands of the English scene.
